Ahem- Best Oasis Album- the Masterplan

Limited Liam's snarly voices, and the incredibliy talented Noel's vocals on the Masterplan, and Half the world away prove that Noel is one of the greatest songwriters of his generation

I just think Oasis have had thier best days and i think the band will split soon with Noel heading for his Chemicals Bros style dance music. Liam will eventually grow up and as for the other three hopefully in the future i will remembber thier names. Oasis in thier day were as good if not better than Blur and The Charlatans but the difference is Blur and the Charlatans could keep making decent albums.

I have to sorta disagree with the Blur statement. Blur have 2 shit albums - being Leisure and 13. 13 was a piece of Radiohead soundalike pretentious twaddle with Tender and Coffee & TV the only songs actually tuneful. I love Blur but I have to admit i was really disappointed by 13. This Fatboy Slim/Damon fallout doesnt seem good either.

Definitely Maybe - In The Top 5 Albums of The Nineties
Whats The Story Morning Glory - Substandard HITS album
Be Here Now - The one noone seems to like EXCEPT FOR ME
Standing On The Shoulders - The first two tracks brilliant, then on dull
Heathen Chemistry - ??? From What ive heard of it, the tracks are more memorable than the Giants album but the songs sound like Be Here Now songs with 10 less instruments and 3 less minutes.

Good in NME/Q sense or Good in the popular press sense. Blur's albums have been dissapointing since the great escape, and the charlatans best album would be something like there greatest hits....

Personally I think Heathen Chemistry is a great album - I never bother with album reviews on the basis that what one person likes doesn't necessarily reflect what others think.

Regarding Blur, I reckon Leisure, Modern Life... and Parklife were great but then they started to go downhill. That's only my opinion though...
