Greetings from the Scottish Highlands. As you may recall Chris travelled to Inverness to turn on our Christmas Lights. Well Inverness has been plunged into a sea of despair following the decision by 5 of the Scottish Premier League Chairman to deny Inverness Caledonian Thistle the right to play in the SPL next season. The reason why Inverness has been denied promotion after winning Division One last year is because they dont have 10,000 seats. The SPL insist on 10,000 seats for reasons best known to themselves as the average gates up here - apart from Rangers and Celtic matches - are 5,000. Inverness had arranged to play all their home matches 100 miles away in Aberdeen at the home of Aberdeen FC but the SPL said that wasnt good enough even though the ICT fans were prepared to make a 200 mile round trip to support their team. The future for Inverness Caledonian Thistle if they stay down in bleak as they will lose half their team and most likely their Manager - the brilliant John Robertson - if the Scottish Football Association dont uphold their appeal. Many thanks and things are so bad up here that the only thing that has made us smile since we heard the news is listening to Chris in the morning. PS Message for Chris and Aled - if you want a semi - mysterious location that can do some REAL good - please come to Inverness and lets talk about the injustice of leagues closing their doors for 2 years in a row live on air. lets face it who really cares what other teams are in the SPL. Rangers an Celtic are the only ones that matter (and Rangers don't matter that much). The scots should stick to Curling.

Hey Super L - nicely spotted. Disagree with the Rangers and Celtic being the only one that matter crack - now that English Football has turned into the Arsenal ? Man U / Chelsea show - I would have thought that even a Scouser would have understood how damaging a closed shop is. Hello again Gerry. I admit I know NOTHING about football, but my best guess is that when your team is playing Rangers or Celtic at your home there will not be enough capacity. Sounds crazy anyway, I will sign your petition if I can find it.

Thanks for the support - just concentrate on the unfairness of a League that shuts its doors 2 years in a row and insists on folk spending millions of pounds creating seats they wont need .....the funny thing is that when Inverness BEAT Celtic in Inverness in the Cup and the game was on SKY - everyone who wanted to see the Game could... so the Capacity issue doesnt really count - this all about stomping on the little teams... and as I said .... the team and fans were prepared to play 100 miles away to secure the capacity the rules demanded...

Do they? I mean honestly? Ok, so Rangers an Celtic fans care but would it not be better to just have them break away? I know people moan about the loss of revenue but as the point has been made attendances are low at the moment whereas if teams had a chance of winning something then it may get scottish football going again.

Stick Celtic an Rangers in the English Conference I say.

Scottish folk would like the SPL to be a success but the attendances would suggest that to say they care is a bit OTT

The ideal world would see Rangers and Celtic break away and play each other 36 times a season and the rest split into 2 leagues with 4 up and 4 down - the gap between the best and the rest is so vast that the majority of games are meaningless in terms of trophies and are merely inter city squabbles at best

im a celtic supporter and i have never felt like a true celtic supporter until i was at larssons last game...that was a feeling that i will never forget
back to caley, i think the groundshare with aberdeen was never going to go ahead, even still they do deserve to be in the SPL - never mind about the seating
