As of yet, no idea. I hope she doesn't do a Sarah HB and disappear into oblivion. I signed up at http://www.hb.net months ago, but haven't heard anything yet.

As far as the schedule's concerned, Vicky is still down for the next two weeks, although stating quite clearly that last night was her penultimate show. I wouldn't be surprised if Wes took over the slot for the time being, with possibly JK and Joel doing a stint before their weekend show (in the same vein as Edith Bowman).

I plan to stay up and listen to tonight's show, but if you could get any audio from your tape MC that'd be great!

Just as an aside - has anyone noticed how Parfitt seems to be gradually phasing out all of the female Radio 1 DJs he signed up in 2000? (Sarah HB, KC, Vicky). Could Emma B be next up for the chop? She used to cover a lot more shows than she does now, regularly standing in for Moyles and Mark/Lard.

Whileys good cos she plays the music i like and knows her stuff, Cox is annoying and rubbish and Nemone is ok

There's something about Jo Whiley that makes her good, but if you listen to her very carefully she's actually rubbish - if that makes sense. She stumbles over words all the time and seems too shy and rigid to stray from the script (like the chats with Chris Moyles). But she's still good... can't work it out!

Nemone has the ideas and the guts to be different and have some features on the show - that's why she can cope with shows like Drive and Early Breakfast. She's good at interacting with listeners. I like Vicky Marsden - she's got a good voice and presentation style. But she's more content linking songs and reading out e-mails and texts without being different. That's why she never got gigs like Nemone and has been dropped from Radio 1. There's nothing amazingly different about her.

I would imagine that there are less emails and texts sent at the time of the morning. 2 - 4 - fu*k hell, what a shite time to be working..

i caught a few minutes of a show she does on another BBC station (i was flicking through the radio channels on sky) she probably has more airtime on there than she has had at R1.

and i saw her on hells kitchen the other day to think i used to fancy that women, 4 years ago (that was untill i found out what she looked like)

oh and about vicky i always thought she was ok, i've only listened to an average of about 1 hour of her show since she's been at R1, cant say i'm that bothered.

She has "Top of the Pops" on the World Service, which Radio 4 plays out very early in the morning.

Vicky Marsden is an average token female presenter. I like the idea of experimental stuff much more.

You hate them but you've never even heard their show? (and don't bring up their TV show as an excuse). You seem to have personal vendettas against certain Radio 1 DJ's but with no reasonable explanations, e.g "she's an ugly bitch" etc. You should at least give them half a chance before slagging them off.

As for Vicky, I prefer her to Nemone and co cos I think she is funnier. Having said that, I've not heard her show for a good 10 months or so cos she's never given the daytime cover shifts that she used to get.

I probably have overdone the praise a bit and they're not gonna be everyone's cup of tea, but I think that people should at least listen to their show and give them half a chance before saying that they hate them.

Back to Vicky - I agree with Adam that she does look nice in that pic. I've been out all day but I quickly rewound my video and listened to bits and pieces of her last show earlier. It was really funny (although her little studio posse got irritating) and that's why I think she's better than Nemone/Spoony and co - she's funnier. Particularly funny was the movie stuff she did with James King, although I never knew he did prime time movie news at 3am on a Friday morning.

i said jo and dave are the only other DJ's i like, i havent listened to them properly since 2000. i've made it clear i hated certain DJ's, all that should come out in my DJ bashing (so to speak)
posts is my hatred not the fact that everyone else should have the same opinion as me.
