The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Anybody seen this yet?

I saw it today and thought it was fantastic. I know the reviews have been dodgy and the plot is a bit unrealistic, but the special effects are superb and if you like action packed movies then you've gotta go see it.

Dunno why they had to have the kid with cancer in it though, that was just unnecessary. I also saw the new Harry Potter film t'other day which is great aswell, although we won't go down that road cos it pisses too many people off.

If i wanted to see some mincing public school boy's than i'll go to the boat race rather than harry potter.

I was reading an article (yes I can read), which proclaimed public schools are back in fashion thanks to harry potter. I can vouch for that, as yesterday I walked passed some local hoodlums who occupy a nearby car park most nights. Instead of nicking the badges off car's and shouting at passers by as per usual, they were clasping a copy of the philosphers stone, whimsically contemplating access to the complete works of dickens, midnight pillow fights in Babbage Dorm and to scale the heights of la crosse stardom.

what sh*te

In my opinion there a three classes of people:

Children
Adults
Adults who read Harry Potter.

One of these groups should be exterminated. guess which.

Back to the original topic of this thread:

The Day After Tomorrow:
Saw it the day before yesterday (*queue canned laughter- haha, i'm so funny... not) and I thought it was pretty cool, so cheesy and american especially the guy's smile right at the end, makes you wanna punch him in the face repeatedly.. But it was a good film, the cancer boy bit was lame and stupid, the special effects were great- seeing the hollywood sign ripped apart by a tornado is quite stunning.. The whole science behind the plot - although it's a load of bullshit really, they still make it sound believable which says something at least. The best bit was with the wolves, but I won't give anything away - just be prepared ;)
Only thing that was bad apart from how cheesy and american it was, was that the flipping cinema people FORGOT to turn the air-con on until half way through and it was totally *roasting* in the cinema.. Although, my friend said it was all psychological because of all the snow and stuff on the screen was making us feel so warm - hehe..

Definately go and see it if you like diaster movies and watching loooottts of people die all at once (the New York bit, fantasic)

My favourite character: The tramp dude, he rocked!!
