The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

So i'm guessing that about 99% of people reading this post are using Internet Explorer. Just thought i'd put this thread up so that people can say what other browsers are available.

I've started using Opera (opera.com) which is superb. Have only found that i had to go back to IE when ordering a fathers day card off of moonpig.com.

I use Mozilla firefox usually.. Blocks all those annoying Java things, popups and Ads. Plus you can have several windows open in the one screen.

The only downside is that some pages where you need a popup doesn't work, but overall its a lot better then IE.

I always liked Netscape, when it was pure and free of Ads and spyware.

If it's an auto pop-up just click the icon and unblock site, then refresh.

I use firefox.

What's the best? I've always used IE because I can't really find fault with it, apart from pop-ups which I block with the google toolbar anyway.

I normally use IE to browse, but have Opera and NS7 installed for testing purposes as well. I'm getting flashbacks of timb/ Morals arguments...

I usually use IE but would like to try something else. Lol I had that flashback too Topher. It went on until timb left. Now neither of them hardly ever come here.

In some respects i'm glad they dont.. The reason Timb left was because of the Flame factor.

Well one of them had to go because they clearly didn't get on. Morals still posts which is a sign that he still a member. Please don't take it personally because he's your future husband, its just I never liked him anyway.

Anyway, back on topic. I dont think there's anything wrong with IE.

A Simple pop blocker which can be downloaded from somewhere like google will block pop ups.

I've got Google toolbar operating at the moment.

There's alot wrong with it. Search and ye shall find. You shouldn't need to download a pop up blocker. Firefox has one built in, and a search field for google aswell.

Try writing strict standards compliant xhtml, getting it to display on all browsers the same is rather difficult sometimes, mainly because of IE.

yeah. stupid IE. i really hate it when some sites are coded such that they only work in IE. it's usually when i'm trying to register with dell or mcaffee. damn the man.

man, morals and timb- totally forgot about that. maybe i should go back and read the archives. speaking of which... never mind. i'll behave myself.

I can - it actually lets virus things have access to your computer. Also the tab things are really useful on the Mozilla type browsers. Mozilla / Netscape / Firefox are actually the same code with slight adjustments. Use Mozilla with a fast computer or Firefox with a slower one.

I can’t say I like Opera that much to be honest, and you have to pay for it.

Safari. I keep FireFox and (the final ever version of) IE in case of emergencies and accessing bank accounts from crappy banks. - jc

Much as I love Opera I've been having problems with it on my laptop recently, so I'm using IE again. :S

I thought there was one last version with built in popup blocker and tabbed browsing planned?

One thing i'm starting to notice is when i'm running ad-aware it's coming up with about 1-2 cookies. Whereas with IE i averaged about 8-10 over the same period.

Hmmmm
