sweepstakes are simple

every team name is written down and then each person takes one at random from a hat (it's always a hat for some reason lol) usually they pay a price to take a team - say if it was 50p that's £8 altogether - whichever team wins the tournament, that person wins all the money!

it would be quite hard to do on the forum seeing as you can only have 16 players and it couldn't be for money.. hrm

How could you ensure the person drawing the lots isn't cheating?

simple, whoever does the drawing of lots has to be impartial to the sweepstake.. ie. not involved themselves - i'll take the job if you want, all i need is 16 usernames (not including me) and i'll do the drawing myself the real way (names on bits of paper in a hat ) then i'll post the results, i don't know what we can do for prizes- how about a custom title for the forums, the bit which says "super-poster" for Sidla.. and "I'm Quite New" for me? I'm sure Chris wouldn't mind letting the winner have a custom title? I'll ask him..

I've only been posting actively on these forums for about 2 or 3 days and I don't really know anyone very well so I can't have any vendettas! In fact I'm perfect plus I get to know everyone a bit better

Chris has okay'd the prize! The winner of the sweepstake will receive a Custom Title.. That means you can choose what it says inbetween your username and your avatar.

only 5 more - i've got it all written down on bits of paper here and i've also got all the team names down..
so when the list of usernames is full i'll cut the teams up and pick a random one for each name - at the end of the tournament we'll see which teams wins and whoever had that team wins a custom title..

adam: i take it you wanted to have a chance of winning? the way we've worked it out - i'm not playing so i can't win.. *shrug*

edit: i thought about Chris H when I asked him about the prize and I thought well what's the point in him winning - but MC says he'll keep the same title if he wins anyway - so i'll ask Chris again
