Something i've noticed since the breakfast show really is that the tedious links done by Dave aren't being tested for their "seamlessness" very well.

I remember in the afternoons they'd get loads of text and Will would go through them and this lead to quite a few good comedy moments, now Dave just points out the flaws and that's it.

The rubbishyness and inaccuracies of the links actually being pointed out were always good for a few laughs.
Also do the links seem shorter now? almost as if dave puts in even less effort than before.

What's the point of "Get ready to ramble"?? I can't seem to work out what it's all about. Am I the only one? I think I must have missed the show where they explained it.

But instead it is cleverly changed to get ready to ramble that's about it.

I thought it originated from the stange ramblings after the tedious link which wolul end up anywhere after discussing a point made in the link.

Rachel used to get annoyed that Chris and Dave used to just start rambling on about nothing at that time of the show so started plugging Car Park Catchphrase, and Chris observed it was when they took a break where other DJs would play a record so christened it 'Half Time'. Now they tend to ramble through most of the show anyway so it is less necessary.

Tedious Link seems to have gone down hill since Dave has run out of songs to play. Most of the recent ones he has played recently have been on before.

A few have even been played twice this year alone. It really bugs me that he has so many great records to pick from yet still goes back to the ones he's played before.

I've checked the Tedious Link archives cos I write them up every day and...
Take That : Pray - Tedious Link on both January 20th and April 20th this year
Oasis : Live Forever - Tedious Link on both January 8th and March 1st this year

If we request stuff Dave's not gonna take any notice cos it's not a request feature and he plays what he likes, not what we do.

I do enjoy the tracks he picks but I just think a little more variation would be nice.

It seems to be the same as any other link though, just slightly longer.

Technically it would be 8:30 since the show starts at 7 and goes through till 10:00
