I don't know why people are always so concerned for the plight of the music industry. Lots of other industries must be losing sales too; how about people who work for companies which make fax machines or film for cameras? You don't get Steve Lamacq documentaries about the plight of your local Happy Snaps, do you? How about BBC Two shows about the demise of the Soda Stream? Sure, the chart is dull but I never found it particularly fascinating anyway.
People aren't going to stop making music, it's just the big bosses in their offices will lose out because they have become slack, and to be honest I don't care. The large record companies aren’t any less ‘corporate’ or ‘evil’ than any other industries, possibly more so. Let them sort out their own problems like any other industry would. Come up with an innovative new product or something.
Sorry to rant, but I just turn off when people start going on about singles sales. I don't see why it deserves so much media attention. I like the new McFly song, by the way
