The new sound machine update download button doesn't work for me.. is it just me or do other people have troubles accessing the update?

Yeah, the 'File/Sound Download Server 1' is down so I'm guessing that's the one with the soundmachine on.

I have done a bit of digging (sorry Chris) and found:

That isn't the server where the files are held.

The server which contains the new SoundMachine is currently down. This will change soon I expect.

if you wanted to see if there was a server down Jimmy, just check the server status by clicking on the link at the bottom on the links on the chrismoyles.net homepage, Thats what i do.

i never saw this before - i guess i'l look at it next time before posting a topic here - it's only ever me who seems to post the problems here in the first place

The application server isn't the one which serves applications - it runs scripts which update some of the automated areas of the site (the webcam archive for example) and do some of the background database backups and optimisation.

Server 1: Be Moyles, SoundMachine, Videos, Parodies
Server 2: All other sound clips

Makes sense. Are you going to keep everything spread out when you get your dedicated server? More servers = more chance of something not working, I would have thought. I suppose they charge you for the bandwidth, though.
