i have a couple of ways of recording audio soundtrack off tv/radio:

a) using Sky Plus - fine if you have it and also very useful (up to 3000minutes of video and about 100 chris moyles shows!)

b) taking a line out/headphone from your TV/radio into your PC and busing a recording program (such as windows movie maker or sound recorder if you're that stupid)

I also want to know how to do this - what software (preferably free ) is used to store shows on hard-drives, from the Listen again stream?

Quick question though. Tried to download todays show by going to job, download and entering rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio1/r1moylesmon.ra

All it keeps doing though is "retrying" every five seconds. Am I not entering something right, do i need a password? Any advice greatly appreciated

Buy yourself a MiniDisc with Long Play, discs are cheap, you can erase them when you no longer want them and re-record. You don't even need a computer or to take up great amounts of hard disc space. And if you want to transfer any bits you like to your computer then connect it through the soundcard and use Cool Edit/Adobe Audition.
