They did some great stuff. there lyric writing is the stuff of genius. only bettered by a drunken cerys matthews and the divine divine comedy

heard the oasis album in full today an im quite happy. i admit i like almost all their stuff except standing on the shoulders of giants but this albums pretty good. other than the singles little by little is good.

Noel is the better singer although liam has a very good rock style. Most of the best Oasis songs are sung by Noel though, including nearly all of the B-sides which are their best songs in my opinion. I think the Masterplan album in excellent

ahhhh Noel is not the best singer, Oasis are a rock band, Noel is not a rock singer. Liam has a distinctive sound, Noel has a dull mancunian drone.

I think you'll find that Liam sings with more of an accent than Noel and Liam is good at the rocky songs (Like you say) but Noel is Excellent at singing the acoustic tracks and the more ballad type songs such as the Materplan, Talk tonight, etc etc which Liam would not suit at all and these happen to be my favourite type of Oasis song. Little by little is my favourite track by far on the new album and Noel sings it much better than I could ever Imagine Liam doing! But these are just my opinions - I have nothing against Liam, he is excellent, I just prefer Noels voice. Remeber the MTV unplugged thing where liam had a "sore throat" and coudln't sing - Noel did a fantastic set and proved himself to be an excellent singer, songwriter and musician!

i think noel is loads better than liam, but on the whole oasis is only interesting when they're slagging people off. 2¢!
