Yep, but a very slightly different angle. What I'm edging at is the fact that when you have a p*ss, you don't expect people to be watching you. When you come on to a messageboard declaring that you are Chris Moyles, you expect an audience. And why the whole event should be kept an amazing secret defies logic to me. At the end of the day, if someone were kind enough to forward the transcript, I'd read it, then what would I do? Well, nothing! So what's the whole issue?! I don't understand that one at all.
Sidla wrote:Yeah, but if you had it then you could pass it on to someone else, who could then pass it on to someone else etc. etc. Pretty soon everyone would have it.

I've already explained my personal reasoning, and I can't work out why anyone would WANT to make it publically viewable anyway!

It wasn't on the board though was it. He went in the chatroom and talked to a small group of people. If more people were in he may not have spoke at all. He didn't actually join and declare he was moyles, someone guessed and he said they were right. The whole even t isn't a secret at all is it, Just what was said exactly.
I doubt he expected what was said to be disturbuted to other people who were not in the chat room. I see no reason why anyone who wasn't in the chat, forum member or not, shoudl be able to read it as it wasn;t a discussion for them to be involved in. I dont expect my friends to tell everyone thing i tell them, even if i tell them things in a public place.
As I've said it's not that interesting, but someone doesn't want everyone to see it, and i respect that. Adam has been begging everyone for it despite knowing this, and he's got it now from someone, so he will prob start handing it out anyway.

What makes you think I, or anyone else who has it would want to either? It's been made clear that someone doesn't want it circulated, so I think it fair to honour it.
t36 wrote:I generally agree with that. But look at it like this.
You are Chris Moyles. You go to chrismoyles.net. You chat in the chatroom. You then talk about the incident on BBC Radio 1.
And you expect people to keep the chat a secret?
Errr... I wouldn't think so.

I don't expect people to not know I was in there, but I wouldn't expect the chat log to become public.
I think that's pretty obvious seen as people have been asked not to distribute the log!

Sidla wrote:a) You don't know who instructed it to be removed (and granted, nor do I). But it was obviously someone in sufficient authority for LC to feel that he should. If Sheep told him to remove it, I'm sure he'd have been less inclined to do so.
b) What makes you think you have any right to read it?

Now changing the flow of conversation slightly. If we managed to get one of the radio 1 team to come on the online chat at a particular day/time would many of you try to attend? Obviously we wouldn't want another two hour interrigation of who they are, like we had with Chris.
