Two versions of SlashDotDash with different vocal samples, but which is best? I prefer the first version, it sounds far cooler and slicker.

I'm more of a fan of the first version. However I wouldn't have noticed if it hadn't be pointed out the other day on breakfast.

It's obvious it's a different voice. First is better by far.

Yup, the second version sounds like he says "slesh dot desh", bloody annoying.

both are god awful.

Hes testing the principle of releasing rubbish and seeing whether mugs will still buy it but hes way behind the streets.

I havent heard both versions. Funny to hear people want it playing, when at first they were moaning that it was rubbish.

I loved the original, and I noticed it was a different straight away. I miss the original version.

Had same problem with the Faithless classic 'Insomnia' as there are at least 2 or 3 versions of that. I had one that was played in the top 40 chart show at the time that's different to the 1 that gets so much airtime today (lyrics are completely different) and I can't seem to find the version I have on tape anywhere else.

Why was there a second version? - I missed the bit when they were talking about it

They used a sample that they couldn't get cleared to use or something.

Yeah and I remember Aled talking about different edits etc. Anyone know if the original edit will be on the CD, coz I'll only be buying it with the good version on it.

It's still the original version in the video though.

That's interesting news - I wondered why on earth they changed the vocal in the song; now it makes sense. The second version is completely naff IMHO.

I downloaded the original several weeks ago off the official Fatboy Slim website. Great tune.

Ha ha - yeah I know - a blatent rip-off. I have no idea about website design, so a mate decided to make a few 'adjustments' to an already-existing radio website for me. Makes the mind boggle, doesn't it?!

It's very slight, pointless really..
