Anyone got any recommendations of a radio station to listen to between 12 & 4? I have Moyles on til 10, then Jon Gaunt til 12 on BBC London, but then every station seems to go a bit crap... I'm not keen on Colin & Edith really.

Any suggestions happily received as long as it's on FM or MW, talk shows, decent music, anything to get me through the last few hours of work!!

iain.baker on Xfm is worth a listen (1pm -4pm) as you're in the London region, and also Simon Mayo, who is often forgotten about over on Five Live but he has some good guests on his show.

I wish we could listen to the radio at work. It would help me work better.

Yeah me too.

Try Virgin. Not sure of the frequency though but when i lived daaaaaan saaaaaaaaaf (breif as it was) I used to listen to it all the time. We can only get it on medium wave up here but down there you get it on fm.

Is Atlantic 252 not on any more?

Birmingham is as good as down south (rubbish people with stupid accents).

haha, just listening to him should keep you entertained for the rest of the day though surely?!?

Someone told me that he was in america for the hurricane on holiday and refused to be evacuated so that he could be a proper media whore and make himself available for loads of people to take reports from.

turns out he over stayed his welcome and got trapped in a hotel in disneyworld for 3 days!!!

Atlantic 252 turned into a sport station I do believe. Used to listen to it quite a bit. It might not even be on the air anymore, shame really, I loved their top 7 at 7.

Anyone in the Manchester area, Justin Moorhouse on Key 103 is worth a try, he's a talented bloke!

We do listen to the radio at work, but usually stop paying attention when Moyles finishes, except me who finds Jo Whiley's voice very sexy!

He might be as a stand up but on the radio he's rubbish.

Key 103 is just diabolical now. The only half decent presenter is Toolan, and he's on at the same time as Moyles so I never hear him.

Well I have to admit, I did say that, but I haven't actually listened to Moorhouse since he was on Magic, don't get the chance to listen to him now, we get Colin And Edith instead, aren't we lucky?! Or one or the other as they seem to have had more holidays than Father Christmas between them recently!

I saw Justin Moorhouse doing stand-up & wasn't that impressed with him, however there were only about 10 people there so he might have just been a bit thrown by the lack of audience :D

Iain Baker was pretty good yesterday, however a bit shit today & I ended up switching over to Radio 2 :o Steve Wright in the afternoon! Which was surprisingly quite good...

I like Virgin however they tend to loop the same songs which starts to do you in after a while, I used to have it on all day but the amount of times I heard that bloody Keane song... plus the adverts are well irritating as well!

Gaunty is classic, only problem is everytime I listen it always makes me think of Moyles ranting about him (something to do with Sony awards I think), when Gaunt was on 3 counties radio? "John NOT SO Gaunt, I could open the window & reach more listeners than you!" etc etc.

Perhaps they do, the problem then is that they repeat that day throughout the week :D Either way I know i've heard every bloody song they play about a million times!

I'm particularly sick of that Morissey song, anything by Keane & anything by Maroon 5. Also that bloody Thrills song. :(

Every Thrills song is the same anyway. Apart from moyles and if I want a real laugh Spooney on 606 I don't listen to any radio because its all poor.
