Please comment in this thread on my/tom's reviews of Chappers and Dave's summer sports shows, or on any of the actual shows themselves.

The shows will run for 11 weeks from Saturday May 15th to Saturday July 24th.

It was decent enough I thought. They need to bed in a bit but in a few weeks it will be slightly more polished. Its nice to see radio 1 trying something a bit different (for them) on a saturday.

oh so it's just one more week of chappers and dave.... i think they should be given a permanent slot - they're actually quite entertaining together. I'm going to listen to JK and Joel though, they sound really good from what i've heard!

I've praised and bigged up JK and Joel enough on here these past six months so I'll leave that for now.

I do want to say though that Chappers and Dave turned into a bit of a revelation together. I obviously liked them both individually but didn't honestly think that their show would be as good as it turned out, especially in the later weeks. The fact they kept saying this was "the last one in the series" etc obviously means that Parfitt plans to use them together again, but with all the schedule changes recently I'd be surprised if it's before next summer, which is a shame.

so it's over, there are no direct links to their pages anymore so i guess those hammerette pictures won't be appearing. having said that, you can still get there by selecting the page in your history, and it seems chappers is now owned by scott as clicking his name in the drop down box takes you to mills's pages - oooh! just 4 days left of mills on breakfast

I never actually listened to Chappers and Dave's summer shows, don't know why, I was just always doing something else on a Saturday.

I'm more than willing to get up at 7 tomorrow morning for this though, I'm suffering terrible Moyles withdrawal symptoms at the moment, and Dave is the closest thing! And it'll make a nice change from getting up at the weekend, switching on the radio and hearing Spoony...

Agreed. Just one point, Trevor Nelson did play Michael Gray - Weekend and did announce it as the weekend anthem yesterday. Just though I'd let you know as you said in the reviews he didn't play it.
