This would be considered important were I adam and put significance on such events. As it is I shall stick to the bolly and leave the good stuff for another time.

if we are being pedantic (and lets face it with Adam we always are) I also had posts under my other names such as... Ahh_Pathetic, The Golden Vision and indeed... Topher.

Interesting story in the paper today, about two lads who did a "Celebrity Call" of their own, they rang up a girl using clips of Arnold Schwarz..(Spelling?!), apparently the girl was so scared she rang the police! Now the lads have to do 200 hours community service and pay compensation to the girl for the trouble they caused her.

Mills ought to be careful...

and thats the ONLY good thing about Ipods.

Mills will have to call everyone back that he phones and ask their permission before he can use the celebrity calls - as you cant record someones voice and use it on air without their permission.

that is not true, you do not haft to have permission to use someine else's voice, I work on a radio station and did work for another station and used peoples voicees without permisson.

That was from my local paper, Manchester Evening News.

It was actually Steve Penk who was mentioned, and the one they were blaming, as apparently he does pretty much the same thing on his Key 103 show, only difference being, his show is local, which is obviously why they used him and not Scott.

Erm, I'm afraid it is. I've done work for the BBC, and you have to get permission for nearly everything. Of course normally, people are quite aware they are being interviewed for the radio. However if you call up someone, and they dont know its someone on a radio station recording it...

and dont get me started on copyright.

I found this interesting offcom website showing complaints made against radio stations by listeners. I wont paste it all on here, but scroll to page 23. It refers to a "wind up" call with the "victim" becoming distressed and had not given permission for it to be broadcast. Programme Code, Rule 3.3 "Telephone interviewees and participants must have given consent to the use of their contributions prior to broadcast and telephone conversations may not be broadcast without the permission of the participants." Complaint was upheld.

Some of the other complaints are quite funny.
