I suppose it ends when you find something new to listen too or you simply dont find him that interesting to listen to anymore. As you get older - people tend to move on and find new things that there interested in, What age group does Moyles mainly appeal to? This moving on can be seen within this board - people grow up and Moyles simply doesnt appeal to them anymore.
You stay listening to the show for however long you enjoy listening to Chris Moyles. As long as you're happy with what he's saying and his production team are coming up with new ideas then its safe to say people will keep listening.
Its unlikely Moyles will stay at Radio 1 for ever - so I find it tough to see where he'll be after that. Who knows what will be in store for Moyles. I however dont see Moyles being on radio in 40 years time..
Judging by other offerings on the radio in the morning, no wonder the breakfast show has increased in listenership.
As for me - I tend to listen to Moyles when I can. I don't get up at 7am every morning and listen until 10 simply because I dont have the time. When Moyles was on at 3pm to 5:45pm in the afternoon, it was an ideal time for all including myself. Are people who were afternoon listeners now breakfast show listeners? Probably.
Having been on this board for a few years, I've def. seen a change in Moyles. I suppose his best moments were back in Afternoons - he had a bit more freedom and was able to be wild. Now, much more tame in Breakfast he still has the abillity to make pretty good radio.
Why do you still listen to Moyles?
