Last year, I remember a distinct lack of xmas songs over the festive period by radio 1.... It was almost as if it was un-cool to play the nations back catalogue of xmas crackers.
However, this year, there appears to have been a big turn around by radio1 and the powers that be....
Whilst driving to work Moylesy has played at least 2-3 xmas tunes on each show. And about time.
So, I guess senior management have all hit the 30 - 40 yr age bracket and therefore they remember with fondness all the classic tunes i.e. Jonah Lewie, East 17 etc.
Just think, 15yrs down the road and Band Aid 20 (2004) may be remembered with fondness by the McFly generation, when they wear suits and manage the company.... eeek
