I used to work in Local Radio and to have a Station Studio like that must cost something like £500,000 becuase bare in mind they have Touch Screen Playout systems, 2 News Reading Systems/General Systems, Turntables and everything that goes with a studio - Feedback Monitors, Audio Compressors etc.

They didn't buy a new playout system, mind; they yanked the one from Studio 3 and saved tens upon tens of thousands of pounds in the process. The whole renovation process is funded in a unique way, but I won't go into it because it's boring to most folk. - jc

One thing that's always been bugging me though, is what is that website they always seem to have on display on their computer screens (the blue one that's on display on the TV and on the computer)? What is its purpose?
