Not all stations are taking it.

Splash FM Worthing aren't. SAGA are supporting it, but not taking the show.

There will be 2, 4min opt outs per hour, which almost all stations are using for local fundraising and travel/news etc. There is a national feed (with nationally based opt outs) on Century Digital on sky and telewest, Capital Life on DAB, and The Hits on Freeview.

Matt Lucas and David Walliams are also hopefully gonna be on.

yep - Moyles said right at the start after making an error crossing over from Nemones show...

"apparently everyone at radio one is teaming up today for 12 hours of rambling idiots"

Then he went on about Dermot and Davina - and just wished everyone who was doing it the best of luck.

from Media Guardian:

Hoax bidders push date with George Michael over £4m

Organisers of today's Radio Aid appeal for the victims of the Asian tsunami have been forced to withdraw and re-auction a dinner date with George Michael after hoax callers pushed the bidding up to £4m.

The date, with the singer and his boyfriend Kenny Goss, had to be re-advertised after prank bidders on auction site eBay pushed the price over the million pound mark.

By 10am this morning the dinner date was the most popular item up for charity auction with a bid in for £14,000. By lunchtime one bidder had tabled an offer of over £160,000 for the chance to dine with the former Wham frontman, but by 2pm the price had crossed the £1m mark raising alarm bells at Radio Aid.

As the bidding then leapt to over £4m, Michael's charity dinner offer was withdrawn pending an investigation by eBay.

A spokesman for the Radio Aid charity appeal said eBay, the auction site handling bids for the campaign, was launching an investigation into the sham bids.

"After what appear to be a number of hoax bids, eBay has withdrawn the auction and made it only available to authorised bidders," the spokesman said.

"Much as we would like to take the money we have to be sure that bids are genuine."

The bidding for the dinner with the pop star stood at £310 at just after 4.10pm, but this is expected to rise during the near five days the auction still has left to run.

eBay said it was launching an investigation into the fraudulent bids.

"We have been working very closely with UKRadioAid to ensure the success of all their auctions and took down a listing for lunch with George Michael when it became apparent a few people were placing fraudulent bids," said a spokesman.

"UKRadioAid are now working hand in hand with our Customer Service team to pre-approve those people bidding on high value items.

We are disappointed a few people tried to interfere with such an important appeal but would encourage the UK public to help out in any way they can by continuing to bid."

Ha ha ha - £4 Million.

Apparently Tony Blair's bit was quite funny and it didn't even sound scripted (except when he was talking about how sad the tsunami is). Never heard any of it meself though.

I'm no labour supporter but he came across okay... don't want to sound cynical but he was sort of killing 2 birds with one stone doing something about the disaster and giving himself some free advertising.

Politicians cant win in that situation. I think Blair is a decent bloke who has made some bad decisions and is now stuck with them.

Isn't that the way of politics now. Its an adversarial system which is meant to keep politicians on their toes.

Gaspode why this appeal? Why not any other crisis? Is it maybe because his public supprt is waining? Question everything!

When my mum split with my dad there's no way she could have survived under a Tory leadership - the Labour governement helped her survive.

Having said that I still vote Lib Dem.
