Congratulations on becoming the most naive poster in forum history! How do feel now that you have recieved your award?

Maybe I am naive but then with reading the following from the latest radio times newsletter:

Radio Ga Ga

The BBC is launching an improved internet Radio Player this week. The service will make almost every BBC radio programme available live and on demand for seven days after transmission. According to recent figures, over ten million hours of BBC radio is consumed on line per month and, from today (25 January), the new player offers 500 more hours of programming, as well as a range of new features.

I think quite a few people would be expecting quite a few new things.

as for a range of new features I've only found 1 and thats the carry on where u left off feature.

Theres even space for about 2 extra buttons in the new window,ie a skip 1 min & skip back button.

These spaces are utilised on non-music shows.... like most of the comedy stuff.... as image below.

ahh I only listen to radio 1 shows so I didnt know that,but I still stick to my comments.

well there's one you noticed yourself. And how about sub-classifying each stations content by genre? And the top 5 most popular? And were you always able to listen Radio 4 in both of it's FM and LW outputs?

RADIO 1 SHOWS BY TYPE,hmm thing is its repetitive,the type of show is listed by the name of the shows on the a-z list,I guess if sum1 cant b arsed to scroll down a little it would be good.

y recommend scott mills on the player,dont get me wrong I like scott but there doesnt seem to be any reason as 2 y.

pointless pic under dont miss this: 1xtra player,jst think that could of been placed under the like this section if at all.

the blue bar at the top could be reduced & the home link could move up,then everything else would move up automaticly.

I think its great to have the top 5 there, if at least so we can check if moylesy is number one.

I recon that people go onto listen again know what they want to listen to. and if they dont and are just looking through the radio player... then they can see what is the best/most popular shows with the top 5.

Im sure it wont be like that all the time... and i recon they've got it right, scott mills is prbabbly the most popular show after moyles... or it probabbly will be on listen again anyway...

I doubt its going to perminantly be that purple 1Xtra thingy... im sure you will see pictures of radio 1 presenters and mabey even terry wogan.

Just because they're the BBC doesn't mean they're gonna design the best player they can on the first release, i'm sure just as with any application like this those who are working on it would appreciate any feedback users may have so that they can make it better and constantly improve the feature. Besides, this would only be applicable if half your comments were valid.
