I have no idea. I think, from what I can make out (on their confusing website) that last years winners did 4 weeks in a row but our guitarist is pretty sure that you only get to do 4 weeks and then you're taken off. To me this seems silly because what would happen if, say, 6 bands all managed to have 4 weeks each -who would be the winner. He is a bit stupid though so I'm probably right.

Just checked it out and I am the incorrect one thsi time, our guitarist may not be so stupid. You can only stay on for a maximum of 4 weeks and then you're replaced. It seems, but im not sure, that there will be multiple winners (i.e. all those who got 4 weeks in a row) but to me this just sounds stupid. Apparently you only get 4 weeks as they have a waiting list of bands to get on the air and as a local tinpot they are trying to be fair and give everyone a chance. I guess it could be a bit boring if the same band is on the battle everyweek (if there was a band good enough - according to Adam in 'the friday night project' thread, it won't be us as we are crap.

see, I dont think that more than 20 people probably actually listen to hertbeat so it doesn't really seem worth it. Also, I bet they haven't got the actual equipment needed to broadcast a live band. Live music you say? What's that then?

Hello again - time once more to revive this thread. we are back on the battle of the bands show tomorrow (Wednesday) and it would be great if as many of you guys as possible could vote for us again. All the info you need to listen or vote is in the first post in this thread. They play the songs for the first time at about 7.40pm and then you can vote and the winner is announced at about 9.45pm.

It looks as though it's going to be a tough one this week as I have checked out the site for the band up against us and they sound quite good and seem to have a bigger following than we do. To make it worse, their following are all local to what the station cheesily refer to as "hertbeat" country so it's much more likely that people who like them will be listening and of course voting. It would be great to win once more and make it three weeks in a row.

by the way, thanks to all those who have voted in the past weeks.
