Don't read that wrong, I am still 100% behind Edith, but like Ade too (thanks mainly to many years of the Young Ones and Bottom, and tht sitcom where he was a doctor on the Isle of Wight).

hes very good at the type of comedy he does, but other than slapstick you cant say he is a good comedian.

no but that's not his thing so he doesn;t even try. He is not a comedian of words in the stand up sense (Although he can write comedy) but he is one of the best visual comedians (i.e. slapstick) you will get which is why he is so good on fame academy.

my point is they were both over a long time ago and he hasn't done anything funny since. dont get me wrong I think hes good and I have actually seen him act a few times and be good but Bottom and the like was hardly amazing.

I was saying that stand up is not his thing. Slaptsick is. I think thats 100% obvious from my last post. It's what he's good at and why he is so good in fame academy, as he is able to entertain in his performances.

fair enough opinion, but it differs from mine where I think Bottom and the young ones were great. The young ones is the better of the two though.

He's still doing bottom live tours with Rik Mayall too isn't he? Last one of those that came out on DVD wasn't bad considering they had to do everything in front of the live audience. I consider Bottom a classic of comedy, not quite up there with Blackadder, The Office and Red Dwarf, but close.
