Pre-emptive strike on this one, I know it hasn't finished yet, but for when it has, what do you think of the new Doctor Who woth Christopher Ecclestone and Billie Piper based on the first episode?

Never really watched the others closely apart from the Paul McGann 1 off, but ive definately seen worse on a saturday night... crime traveller anyone?

I think this needs a few episodes to grow on me, it's not great but it's not that bad either IMO.

I have never watched Doctor Who before but I thought it was really entertaining. I wouldn't stop in specially to watch it but it was funny in places.

I enjoyed it - the critics have given it a lot of praise too so it's only gonna get better I think..

Christopher Eccleston is a great actor.

Well being so damn old! I have seen most Dr. Who's and of course I didn't think this was as good at first, but then if I stop and think about it, I wouldn't would I!? after all, I was still a kid when I was scared stiff of the cybermen and hid beind the settee to watch it, of course THAT will imprint more, so now I'm all grown up (No, hold on, I'm a bloke.... we don't grow up! so ner ner na ner ner!) I must say that i DID like this, it IS the first episode and it MUST be better.
Especially as the effects go, seeing as the majority of the old series was made in 'wobbly' studio sets, the old SFX was nowhere as near as good as the computer generated stuff of now.

all in all....GOOD JOB BBC

You must be one of the only people who doesn't watch Doctor Who. Even my Mum watches it.

I thought it was good, a bit far fetched how they used the London Eye to wake all the dummies up, but it's supposed to be far fetched I guess. Looking forward to seeing more.

Yeah when he was talking about something big and round, I thought they would end up at the Dome, not the Eye.....

I've never seen it either, and don't intend to. That said, I didn't know Paul McGann was in one - he is a great actor.

Yeah but they wudda been unstoppable anyways, thanks to all the laws about disabled access to places etc, wherever the Doc runs to, they just go up the ramp.
