But by your own admission, you switch it off when a Reanalt dominates, but not when it's a Ferrari.

coz Ferrari actually have to work for at least some of their wins? just like alonso did yesterday, for the FIRST time this season... that type of race I can watch even if ferrari lose, just not one like Bahrain where Alonso had it basically won at the start. Ferrari at least have to work some of the race for their wins.... but alas people CHOOSE to only remember incidents like when Schumacher tried to make it a dead heat between him and Barrichello... theyd rather remember rare incidents like that than ferrari working their red a*ses off for a win, which they do so often.

Yes theyve had easier seasons, but so have mclaren and williams so no1 has the right to complain about ferrari doing the same thing.

I'm also hoping button gets further into the fight come Spain.

Normally when Schumacher's poll position he runs away with it.

Usually ANYONE runs away with the lead from Pole, just like Raikkonen is doing in this race... probably the one driver I really can't stand.

People usually do their catching up later on in the race, and I will be very disappointed if no-one, not even a Renault or a Toyota, is harrassing Raikkonen by the end of this race... I'd hate to think a good battle for the lead like the end of the last race in San Marino was a one-off.

EDIT: It was, and while me saying the winner never lost the lead in other races this year was a slight exaggeration... it isn't in this race, check out the flatline.

and then check the gap....

and compare with same 2 screens for San Marino.

Yeah, have to admit todays race was pretty dull. The hilariousness (is that a word?) of Michael retiring made up for it though.

hilarity all round

the lap chart was just to show postions... only thing is you cant see half the lines coz theres other lines crossing them representing overtaking maneuvers (sp?).... and they say theres never any overtaking in F1

Pretty much.

was yesterday yes... more boring than bahrain, a poor followup to the brilliance that was san marino.

EDIT: Weird thing is, while individual races are getting more boring due to runaway leads that people complained about when schumi had them, the bigger picture of the whole Championship fight is getting better and more closely-fought... just a shame it's Raikkonen, the one driver I genuinely can't stand, getting himself into the title picture.

Hmm 1 observation from Monaco GP, the Albers spin

strange how a load of people were delayed and had to stop, but it was just cleared in time for a certain t**t of a Finn driving a british car to not hold him up at all, even though he was already leading anyway. He's got this race very easy compared to his competition.... especially with the safety car... ]

of course, people only complain when its Ferrari that have it this easy, and they havent had ANY race quite this easy. *yawn*

At least it's not the same team that has it easy every race.

makes no difference, its still as bad for the sport, only the championship picture benefits from it in any way.

How the hell is that bad for the sport? It clearly isn't! Normally Michael has won the championship halfway through the season, which pretty much renders the rest of the season null and void! You are clearly deluded.

it does make it more interesting if there are more people who can win it. that said, its still sh*te.

It is on an individual race level. Dull single races for a whole championship sounds crap to me, even if the championship is more closely fought... kinda defeats the point having people lead by 20 secs at end of a race... for the record Schumacher rarely had that kind of lead at the end of a race, even when he was winning most of them.

also try reading what I say...

EDIT: Weird thing is, while individual races are getting more boring due to runaway leads that people complained about when schumi had them, the bigger picture of the whole Championship fight is getting better

I didnt say it was ALL bad.

ITV once again showed HEAVY anti-schumacher bias... supporting brit teams is one thing, but criticising schumi the way they do is taking the p***. It seems like in their eyes Schumacher can do nothing right just because his season is bad compared to the last few. Damned if he does, damned if he doesnt.

People are always going to get runaway leads though, there's not much you can do to stop it.

exactly
but people only see it as a problem when Schumacher does it... that's my gripe, more with the media covering it than the sport itself.
