I know exactly what you mean - all the tabloids portray her as sex on legs, but you really wouldn't give her a second glance in the street. Same can be said for 'Sarah-Lou' (who doesn't look old enough to have sex, let alone be a sex symbol).

And you think that Britney and the Corrie Girls are talented?! Do you honestly think that they would be where they are today if they weren't seen as sex symbols (albeit warped ones)? The three I highlighted got where they are today because of talent (I don't think anyone got pleasure out of Moyles' naked photoshoot).

Well it's stupid and blindly stating the obvious. If someone's talented then why does it matter what they look like? Surely it's obvious that if they weren't talented then you wouldn't fancy them (whether they were famous or not). If that is the case then I could list 1000 people who I wouldn't fancy if they weren't talented.

Yes, I totally agreed in the first place, that probably wasn't clear as I only used Titmuss as an example.

The guys mentioned in post 1 are famous because they have at least some talent, whereas all the women... well I cant say I have a high opinion of, or see talent in any of them.
