That's why most people from Manchester support Man City.

Haha what statistical evidence do you do have to back that up Sidla?

It's a myth.

there actually was a survey showing where teams fans travelled from... i think utd were the furthest in the Prem

REAL Mancunians support City. End of.

Ha. Says the bloke from Stockport.

I don't support United, but this whole idea that there is more City fans than United fans in Manchester is nonsense.

United have a bigger global fanbase yes, so a higher percentage of their fans do travel from further away compared to City's, but that doesn't mean there aren't fans in this area too.

United aren't technically in Manchester if you are getting that picky...

jenas red card downgraded to a yellow
By Quincy
#189182
well on sky during and after the match they said it was never a red card. they showed the angle steve bennet saw it from. to quote andy gray "the only way he would have seen the incident is if lee bowyer was made of glass, lee bowyer is not made of glass". all bennet saw was gilberto lying in a heap. he didnt think he just got the red card out. should have had a word with the assistant. bennet has also written to jenas to apolagise.

i thought it looked a red to me but i've only really seen it once.

it was a yellow for sure, but he did go in to win the ball and i think why i would say it wasnt a clear red is that his right leg wasnt whay got gilbertos standing leg, it was kind of like a sizssor kick but without the intent, just the momentum of him swinging his left leg to get the ball. but when you see it from the referees angle he wouldnt have actually been able to see the tackle at all. its ok changing it to a yellow now, but newcastle were doing pretty well, and then they had to spend virtually an hour of the match defending.

Nice to see Chelsea splashing out the cash on another bench-warmer. 24 million was bad enough but they have really been taken to the cleaners this time!

all the reports said it was a nasty challenge

there were much worse tackles this weekend. it wasnt a malicious challenge though, he was clearly going for the ball.

It could have resulted in a pretty serious injury though. Van Nistlerooy's dive was comical.

OK, so I'm not a real mancunian technically, but I'm still City through and through because it's in my blood and it's the way I've been brought up, and I can't thank my Dad enough for that and I hope in twenty years time my kids will be thanking me for it.

Trust me, there's no way you would get 45,000 at Old Trafford every week had it been 30 years since they won anything!

Because my Dad was a City fan, and once he took me to my first City game, I was hooked.

The avatar is staying put until Shaun scores against us.
