I didn't think they had them in America. When they were launched the strapline was something like "Britain, it's just for you" (although I forget the exact phrase).

Quincy, they were thick burgers in a bun with lettuce, cheese, tomato and some sort of cheesy sauce.

it was a char-grilled sauce.

the big tasty has been removed from the menu along with many other items (Quorn premiere, grilled chicken flatbread, donuts, mcminis) as part of a menu rationalisation to make way for the national launch of the toasted deli sandwiches. It's all about making profits from the products and so that restaurants are not spending money for items that may not sell as well anymore.

the loss of the big tasty is terrible. t'was my favourite.

all the fast food places are launching subs now but they dont compete with quiznos or subway. you just know the mcdonalds ones will be tiny.

Quiznos is brilliant, I've still never had a Subway. I like Chicken Royale from Burger King (without the lettuce.)

i was amazed at how many subways i found in germany and london. it saved me from starvation too- they are one of the few fastfood chains i can eat at.

on my recent road trip through the southwest all i had was subway and taco bell. yum!
