Is there any way to put a delay on the time difference between when new people register and the time they can first post, in order to cap these idiots who have sprung up doing their best colonic irrigation impressions (irritating the sh*t out of me) who register then leave some half-arsed comment, normally slagging the team off, out of sheer boredom?

I would say it's about 60-40 genuine people to annoying tosspots.
