Tim Westwood is a unique hip-hop DJ: white, the wrong side of 40 and the son of bishop.
His weekend Radio 1 shows feature the cream of the US hip-hop fraternity and are punctuated with patterned catchphrases along with more sound effects than The Archers.
So to the live Westwood. Starting with a 10- minute rant about other music genres and DJs which can't be printed here, Westwood "dropped his first bomb," MOP's Ante Up.
This song is guaranteed to make people dance, woop, cheer and scream no matter where it's played.
So what did we get? The intro played three times in a row and then another song for 45 seconds.
This was followed with another 45 seconds of a different song, backed up to another 45 seconds of yet another song.
I think you can guess what happened next. This made for an irritating night.
Imagine someone flicking through the channels of your TV and then occasionally shouting something, possibly offensive.
That's an evening with Tim Westwood - or at least it was in Norwich."
