I thought he was quite good when Dave was in New York and Chappers covered Spoony's show. My argument was why bother employing Sara Cox or Spoony to do it when Chappers is capable of doing it. It's not that hard when it's all highlights of the year.

hes ok Richard Evans actually. Mayo is good on five live too and I hated him on radio 1.

Chappers is one of the funnier people on Radio 1. much better than spooney.

and Simon Mayo was excellent on R1. Listen to him on 5 live quite a bit as well. Phill Williams (Moyles' mate) is the best on 5 live though (well since Richard Bacon left)

I just think it's really random how you can go from sport news reader to covering the drive time slot. He made a good job of it though, although not sure how he would have faired if they weren't playing all the show highlights.

he is just covering for Eamon Holmes, so you only have to put up with him for one week, although I don'tknow why they chose Murray, someone who is just full of themselve, and only cares about his opinion, but I will probably listen to see how crap he is.

Like he is on Radio 1, minus the Scottish. Personally i dont like his show on Radio 1, And i doubt i would like his 5Live one either. But i guess he is liked by some people becuase he is still on.
