Agreed. That was stupid.
However can someone tell me why Sven seems to be putting Peter Crouch above Jermaine Defoe for replacing Owen or Rooney?

Because he's Sven. If Crouch scores another goal in the next four months he'll be first choice probably.

to be honest watching it again today you can see why it was given as it did hit o'neills arm, not deliberately though. no we gotta get 9 points from west brom, fulham and west ham at home to even have a slight chance of survival.

Football365 were talking about the lack of draws this season and how more points may be needed to stay up. when you look at how many points we are from people like Charlton and Wigan who have had great starts to the season supposedly it shows how bunched up it is.

yeah last few seasons the points tally needed to survive was like 35 or something, this year we will need at least 40.

different types of strikers though. Beattie is more Crouch's opponent than Johnson. The only others like that are Heskey. I would say Crouch is miles ahead of them at the moment as he is getting picked.

Johnson is of the Vassell/Defoe/Bent/Owen mold and if Owen is fit we know he will play.

I can't help myself Gaspode. I certainly know who I'll be supporting. Also, Peter Kenyon is surely one of the most slappable people on the planet, his arrogance is unrivalled, I hated him at Man U and I hate him now. The fact that he is the spitting image of one of the knob end managers at my work doesn't help.
