Last night we were at work, and I was transferring all our restaurant glasses from the kitchen into the restaurant bar. She was putting all the rest of the glasses from the main function through the machine while I was doing this, so we were having a bit of a chat. david's right about not looking at the "signs" anymore. i know i sort of messed up a guy who took every nice gesture i did, like helping him do something or listening to him when he had a problem, as an indication that i like-liked him. it was tough because i was too young for any sort of relationship. after 2 years of me turning him down, telling him that i wanted be to friends but that i wasn't ready for a relationship (i was 15-16), and his continually aksing me out and getting upset when i said no, i cut off all ties with him. i still feel bad about the whole thing, but i know i wasn't ready for ANY sort of relationship at the time and it was best to be honest with him.

so yeah, at this point you should assume she's not intentionally sending you any signs- she's just trying to be a nice person because she likes you as a friend.

i don't know if you should find somebody else right now, i'd just try to get back to normality for yourself first.

If you intentionally look for someone else it ain't gonna happen. Yeah you might get with someone but it will be for all the wrong reasons and last about five minutes... If you meet someone else it will literally be when you least expect it - it sounds a cliché but it happens like that the vast majority of the time.

You're probably right, it's just so hard to live with her being so nice to me when I like her so much. It's so hard to have to accept her friendship when I want more than that. I'm just gonna have to learn to live with it I guess.
