The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

In 18 months time, BBC Radio 1 will be 40 years old. I wonder what ideas the station will have to celebrate this milestone? I like to see them bring back as many of the old DJs to bring them to a new audience. I can't wait.

A cull would be a good start.

I cant imagine Radio 1 will look back too far. After all, the station is about promoting new music.

They are marking it with a 40 minutes silence

How about Moyles does a 40 hour marathon to mark the 40th anniversary?

Nearly two days straight on the air... or maybe not.

Definately not, recording it would be a real pain in the arse, and I would hate to have to clip from it.

I'm sure it's been done before... How long did Simon Mayo do (for Children in Need I think) to break the record?

Good idea. Get rid of Vernon, Coxy and Fearne & Reggie.

I like the Sunday morning lie in, just not Vernon. It makes good listening when I'm dragging my hungover self out of bed and getting some work done.

He was a lot better than Spoony yesterday morning after that houseparty, for sure.

I dont mind Vernon or Spoony. I thought Fearne was awful yesterday, ummm-ing and errr-ing all the time, just didnt seem confident at all.

Coxy can go, so can Colin or Edith! Are they ever both on air together anymore?

I saw Spoony on Top of the Pops yesterday he looked really nervous presenting. Don't think he's a TV natural.
