I realise that, you know, but maybe if someone saw it, they could at least say "Yes i can do it, but it will take a few days". that would be nice.

That's useless though because if they dont get time to do it when they say they can they are setting themselves up for a fall.

We have recently produced a clip system so we seldom miss a show, expect your request to always be fulfilled but please appreciate that people do this in their own free time and so it can be a little more than 2 days before you get your clip back.

What new system makes it slower than the one before?

Have all the clip people recently got new jobs that means they are away for ages? cos thats what it looks like.

If I were a sound clipper I wouldn't bother doing your request, as you are so rude. We've explained it to you and yet you still complain as if you have paid vast sums of money for this clip. It's a free service done by people who do this in their spare time, it is not their job. Do you understand this or are you going to complain some more?

I'm not complaining - i'm asking WHY it takes so long now.

Do you or do you not all have jobs which take more of your time so you find it hard to clip as much.

the thing is that the request is a big one and does take a lot of time. especially since the clips are split over the show and it's over 2 of them. it is possible to do, but it would be the last thing i would do if i had to do some others to get out of the way as well.

the thing is that the request is a big one and does take a lot of time. especially since the clips are split over the show and it's over 2 of them. it is possible to do, but it would be the last thing i would do if i had to do some others to get out of the way as well.

You see - thats all i asked for.

either a) the clips

or b) a reason as to why they would take longer.

The reason usually being that myself and Console have heavier workloads in the jobs that pay us to be there and so when I get home the last thing on my mind is to sit in front of another computer and clip sound files.

From what you say you imply that the service has gotten slower. There is no standard time for clips, one request may be fulfilled in 2 hours, others in 2 weeks if it takes that long. The people who provide these clips do it on the understanding that the people requesting them are understanding of the above circumstances.

Because of the way things work now, if you can get *exact* listen again times, it takes us only minutes to clip the files. The time is usually taken by us scanning the file for the bit people are talking about.
