Besides, the sports roundup on the show isn't exactly grandstand.. I think she does quite well to report on a subject which doesn't float everyone's boat, and still manage to make it interesting (I hate football, but love her comments).

That's the point, if you hate football then she's not going to annoy you with her uneducated comments about things she thinks she know's about.

Just because you know all the player's names and what teams they play for, doesn't mean you understand football or sport in general. I bet if you asked her a question that requires an understanding of football, she wouldn't have a clue,

e.g. If your oppenants are operating a 3-5-2 formation, what are effective ways to target them?

Not saying that there is a right or wrong anwser or anything, but you get my point.

I see your point, but then again, you've got Chris, Dave and Dom who extract the Michael from Carrie when she's talking about it.. If you got someone serious about footy to do it, you'd be removing some of the humour from the show. Her reports from "Le frog and Rosbif" were classic, more for the haranguing she got off the guys
