i wouldn't be suprised if they did. i know the university i work at has had a number of seminars about blogging and how to do it. i was asked to be on a comittee to investigate blogging options, though it sounds like a waste of time.

Blog's have been around for years. It's only recently that the phrase has been coined. I just don't see how someone can be an expert in blogging. It's like being an expert at walking or something.

Surely an expert at writing would be a better comparison? There is a lot of skill in blogging and not everyone can do it, just like writing, not everyone can write a good book or a great essay.

Hasn't the term blog (or at least weblog) been around for quite a while as well? I seem to remember first hearing it about 10 years ago.

The media only recently got hold of the term though, since then it's been trendy.

If you can put together a literate posting on a forum like this (i.e. decent punctuation, accurate spelling) then there is no reason why you can't write a blog.

That is true, anyone can write a blog, but it doesn't mean it will be a good/interesting blog.

The only thing is that as Aled has a personal blog, he seems to be posting what he's written on bbc blog on his personal blog/ site. So im often reading or bumping into something ive already read before. Its a shame they cant seperate it.

you should just rss the whole thing and skip the repeated subjects.

and boring things can make a good blog. the writing style is really important, and a bad writer can make the most exciting stuff sound silly and dull.
