Hmm well Colin along with Edith have done music shows on Channel 4 so its nothing new for Colin.

Edith's quote makes me laugh:
"Exciting times ahead, obviously sad that it's the end of our mini era, but ecstatic at the prospect of having my own daytime show on Radio 1. I'm so chuffed for Colin and I know he's thrilled about his new show. I'll miss our daily banter but I'm on cloud nine at what lies ahead and the incredible opportunity I've been given. The show is not going to be completely different more an evolution of the present one."

What is happening to Lamacq Live? Anyone?

Also, how are they extending Zanes show if they still have specialist shows on at 9 o'clock? Doesn't make sense.

Please will people stop saying move Moyles to afternoons again because its insanity.

Agreed. Moyles has had nothing but success on breakfast (increased ratings anyone?) and IMO has been improving recently too.

Halliwell is a legend in the making although his energy in live sets is uncontrollable!!! Wonder how this will convey on a regular radio show.

Ed's a **ng star. He knows how to get the crowd going. So does Julesy, but he is taken rather less seriously, unless you hear him playing. He's also a top bloke, replys to all his emails, which no oter DJ does.

I just think its bizzare what they're doing. After 2 years the schedule is still sounding fresh and alive: Parf Daddy IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT!!!

Edith will not work on her own unless they find her some Producers, BAs that will actually speak with her. Maybe they want her to become the Zoe Ball of the noughties.
The Edith Bowman Breakfast Show.....watch your back Moylesy

Judge Jules is sh*te.

While we're on about scheduling, the Rock Show should be on at 10 and Mary-Anne Hobbs should still be doing it.

Spot on my friend, Julesy's a top bloke, I've met him a few times and he always has time for a chat, mind you, most DJ's are good blokes, they appreciate that the clubber paying the entrance fee is what keeps them going. I think Radio 1 should promote more DJ's at reasonable hours rather than banging them on the 2 to 4 slot when most people are out clubbing.

Have you seen him live? Untill you have you are in no position to call anyone sh*te. Julesy knows how to rock the joint, Ecto style.

Well he does have a regular show on BBC 6 music, and I think he's better suited to that station too (and I like the station!)

Most top DJ's appreciate the clubber, unlike DJ c0ckhead in your local fromage hole who thinks he's god.

I've DJ'd alongside the Judge and he is mint, also interviewed him and as a fan, accosted him for photos and the like. He is a top bloke, replies to every e-mail he receives, he is exactly what being "famous" is all about. He's great and long live dance music.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Russ, are you going to Global Gathering?

If I could afford it I would be. When I was on the radio I used to get guestlist...I miss that privelege. I may yet go...I'll have to see. I'm currently holding out for a visit to Ibiza for the closing parties. Fingers crossed eh.

according to MediaGuardian the schedule is still subject to change.

Will get a better picture by the end of July.

Yes. I went through a dance phase once. Thankfully I grew out of it.

Listening to Hixxy on a boom box at your local youth club while playing a specky numpty at T tennis is totally different from popping 15 pellets at a top nightclub while listening to Tiesto.

Or not, according to The Sun, which today reports he'll co-host with Edith. Not sure how much truth is in that

Good to know, thanks!
