How bizarre is that? I work with one ausie chick an English guy and my boss is Scottish. I'm polish and apparently my accent is mixed and sounds funny. The thing is You can not control this at all. It's a matter of catching the pronunciation of words. But if Your native and English is your first language... how can you lose your accent? Weird... As long as shire's ok toguh.

well you know what other acents sound like dont you? you can imagin a jordie, or a french acent. no imagin going inot a coma damages the part of your brain that knows what acent you do have, your brain mush hapazardly link up your most recognised acent as the one you use... just a theory

In fairness Chris wasn't poking fun at her or Jamaicans, he said if that's the worst that happened then he'd take it. to be fair, so would I probably. May have been a litte jocular when he said "well maybe not a Welsh accent.

It's funny how accents can change thought, I've got a dutch mate who'se been living in London for a few years and still had a dutch twang to his accent but for the most part sounded like he'd lived here all his life...He then spends three weeks in Ireland, comes back and all of a sudden he's the most Irish sounding person you've ever met. I've heard people born and raised in Ireland with accents that didn't sound as strong as his.
