I was also thinking recently that Dave never mentions his wife at all, and he used to do so a lot in the afternoons, when she was just his girlfriend. I think the fact that he doesn't is made more noticeable because Chris and Rachel talk frequently about their other halfs, Aled has started to mention his boyfriend, and Dom's wife and kids get regular enough namechecks (Carrie's lovelife is a bit of a mystery but I'm not really interested in her anyway). Perhaps married life is so peaceful/boring he feels there's nothing of interest to say about it, plus the fact that with the overseas work jollies and the success of the 'Chapper's and Dave's World Tour' he probably hardly ever gets to see her anyway .
