Any one see Time Trumpet tonight?

Basically quite a few comedians 'remembering' Chris Moyles appearence on the memorable TV programme Celebrity R*pe and Ape.

Yeah, I watched it - it was rather odd. They even had Chris Moyles talking about it, when he's old. It looked pretty real, then I soon realised it was a piss take.

Oh sh*t, missed it. Only seen episode 1 so far but I enjoyed (most of) it. There aren't any repeats either are there?

It's very easy to mistake fictional time travel on a bbc 2 comedy show with reality.

They mentioned a few other celebs, bit decided to dwell on Moyles quite a bit. Doubt he'll have seen it, but no doubt he'll have been told about it now, very unlikely for it to be mentioned (though if it is, post up what he says because 7-10am is too early for me :lol: ). Seems to be more the focus of ridicule of late, possibly because of his increased fame and fortune, decline in overall quality/output of his shows and pocketing 100K from a 'charity' event etc etc. No doubt he'll have a good moan about people on his fan site :P

Theres always been an anti-moyles vibe amongst the Day Today crowd. Chris Morris' Jam for example did the whole 'moyles' suicide sketch. Maybe it's down to the more old school approach encompassing sexism and racism that Moyles uses, altough this direction usually features a whole heap of self deprication and shouldn't be taken to seriously.

Most of it does come from Iannucci though, other examples of his disliking of him could be heard if anyone listened to the recent run on Radio 4 of Armando Iannucci's Charm Offensive. Mark Lamarr isnt too keen on him either it has to be said.

I suppose they can get away with it, as its basically taking the piss out of one of their own. Hopefully he'll see the funny side. No doubt he'd been told about it.

Thats interesting, I never knew this was a long standing joke with Morris/Armando, as Ive never been fully up on their work, would like to hear/see clips if anyone would be kind enough to post them if they have them. I knoew about the Lamarr 'feud', though I dont think Ive heard Moyles mention it in recent years, but you can always count on Lammar mentioning it occassionally on radio and every other episode of Buzzcocks

the double chin in that costume is quite convincing. Anyone reckon Darts At Stars is the TV successor to Fire at Will?

C4 should get around to releasing the Armando Ianucci Show on DVD for gems such as these;
