The Arctic Monkeys are the next in a long list of "the biggest and freshest things in British music that's going to take the world by storm"........... The Darkness, David Gray, Miss Dynamite... that other femal rapper from about a year or two ago who "grew up in the 1980's" Craig chuffing David.......... all of whom are doing balls all now. And yet at the time EVERYONE jumps on the band wagon and starts giving them false senses of realism.......... don't get me started on David Blunt........ ironic that his surname rhymes with what he actually is.

Its may be a matter of opinion but Arctic Monkeys have sold more records than these lots combined. They are a band with 5 members...less chance of it going tits up AND they still have the respect of NME/Radio 1.

Yeah, he's the man. One of the very few people who actually sings with a Scottish accent. I don't think his music is outstanding but he has my respect for that alone.

They may be around in that they are "alive" but not in terms of being in the public eye. They do not have longevity at all...... which of them have had a top ten hit in the last six months.

Ha, does he give you that impression? I always thought he was down to earth bloke. Having said that i'm not a massive AM fan, there's three songs I like from the album, and saying that it was put straight on to my ibook and its not been played since.
