On the subject of number 1 singles. Westlife are now only 4 number 1's away from toppling the Beatles as the most successful British act ever (based on UK number 1's). An absolute travesty I think you'll agree. Only one more and they've toppled the bachelor boy himself, Sir Cliff.

They never have been British you idiot. I think what you've done there is unearthed what I like to call, a badly phrased sentence on my part. What I implied was that they will be the most successful artist in terms of the British charts, I think that's quite clear by the bracketed phrase afterwards. I like Westlife, there performance on Ex-factor was fantsatic, sounds stupid but they were a mile away from any act in terms of skill and singing ability, now I have always preffered Boyzone, which were "British" as well I believe !!
