Surely when referring to the Moon it should be a capital? If you were discussing moons then it wouldn't be a capital?

Similarly the difference between God and a god.

What is a "god" then?

I'm only 29 by the way.

You're absolutely right, but considering the fact that Norwich has a capital N, I'm sticking with Moon.

Surely the fact that they make a whole story out of a passing comment by a Radio 1 DJ says a lot about how much happens in Norwich.

That's a very good point.

In fact, I visited family in Windermere recently, and spotted this ridiculously un-news-worthy article in the local paper The Westmorland Gazette:

"White Ceiling
The Ceiling of the Windermere Town Council chamber at the offices in Broad Street in the town is to be repainted. Members, who were told that South Lakeland District Council was to carry out the work, agreed that the whole ceiling should be white."

Watch out for the "Local Sheep Worried by Stray Dog" article next week!

The Moon (capital M thank you) has plenty to offer.

Firstly there's an abundance of cheese, for 80% of it is actually cheese. (The other 20% is a mixture of rice pudding, sodium and toothpaste.)

Secondly there are the Clangers, who are a family of pink socks. They're very friendly, although I can't understand a f***ing word they say.

Also, there's a man in the moon who's been living there for some time now. Few people know that it's not actually the original Man in the Moon; In 1942, when no-one was watching, the original Man in the Moon swapped places with the bloke who was on the other side of the Moon, which is commonly referred to as "the dark side". He was previously a Syth.

On the aforementioned "dark side" there also resides a family of hedgehogs who are responsible for turning the moon on or off depending on what time of day it is.

You don't get that in Norwich. Or Norway for that matter.

Fascinating debate this is. Makes Norwich seem rather cool that it is even being compared to the Moon now......Its a damn site cheaper to get to though.
Btw my stories were meant to be funny, Chris Moyles is funny, the whole thing is hilarious.
Don't quote get why some people are so wound up.

What I still dont get is how anyone can own land on the moon. And why they would do that - is it some kind of bizarre investment?

It's quite pathetic that the NEN is dragging this two-bit story out. I don't care, Moyles doesn't care... so just shut the hell up and get back to reporting about cats up trees and stop trying to get publicity for your atmospherically-challenged little city.
