I was thinking that at the end of the second run...

The actual burst reminded me of crashes in F1 that have been caused by tyre bursts.

the crash was abit tame but they could hardly do a retake.
as for who ever said to put the breaks on, could you do it in 0.4 seconds, and even if you did the paracute wouldnt deploy in time to do anything. he was, however, quick enough to stop the engine.

But according to the linked article, he DID put the brakes on when it happened, that was the whole point...

I've crashed my car 4 times before in similar circumstances and never received the same sympathy or publicity. Strangly enough most Insurance Companies don't like me either!

Had a good night last night. We lost the pub quiz but had my hair plaited by a viking.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd hardly call a grand total of 50 emails and/or calls 'inundated'. The only possibility that comes to mind is maybe they left out a 0 or two.

"Are you mental" "I've got a tissue incase you start dribbling" - They were insulted by these but I'm afraid after having read the online article I'm pretty sure its a classic case of a busybodying charity worker speaking FOR whoever was meant to be offended. What next? Brainism? Or Brainiac Damage? Clarkson and May BULLIED the brain damaged ones, right through the camera, just like that, even though they didnt know them!

But to go through that, and come out the other side means something
Like - great ratings for Top Gear (cynical side in me)
