I'm sure you're allowed to have different glasses Footloose. I prefer Ronnie Corbett personally as he reminds me of my uncle, only shorter.

Corbett was never as funny as Barker. Barker had the mind of a genius and i soooo wish I could be any where near as funny as him. The man was a perfectionist and an absolute legend.

I wouldn't class Ronnie Corbett as the straight man. They worked well as a pair but it is clear Barker was a bit special.

David Jason is another great actor/comedian!

David Jason is, in my opinion (of course), possibly this country's finest actor. Barker is a very good actor and comedian (as Gaspode says, something special), but was better at the comedy than the acting. People like Hugh Grant are good at playing, well, Hugh Grant in everything. David Jason had such varied roles and played them all extremely well.
