Saw that wednesday (after trying on sunday and a power cut stopping it halfway through) Absolutely loved it! I'm still trying to work out if it's better than Shaun of the Dead or not.

See that's the thing with Hot Fuzz, most people will try to compare it to Shaun Of The Dead, in the same way as Extras got compared to The Office so much. I'm not sure it's right to compare them.

Some people prefer one, some people prefer another. Why shouldn't you compare? It is natural for someone who has done some very successful work to have their next work analysed and compared; that's part of being successful.
