Hi all, I have been searching for ages for music that is played occasionally on the show. I don't know who it's by or what the tracks are called (which is why I’ve been unsuccessful so far). The only way I can describe it is; like a sort of fast folk music mixed with 'barbershop' vocals that parodies some of the tracks in the radio 1 playlist. When I first had a look at this site I thought it might Hayseed Dixie, but I got some to see if it was, and it wasn't If it helps, I overheard quite a number of these tracks being played back to back on last Friday’s show, but I couldn’t catch the name of the artist(s) I'm sorry I can't be more specific, I would be very grateful for any pointers.

Thanks for the fast reply but this isn't the guy either. I just had a look on his myspace and it's not the style of music I was looking for i'm afraid. Though he is funny too!

I think you mean Weird Al too, his music is just what you're describing, well, some of it anyway, for example one of his parodies for System of a Down - Chop Suey, its very barber shop quartet sounding in that one.

It was probably one of the polka remixes that was on on Friday, probably the one off of the 'Poodle Hat' album.
