why? I'm an adult, I know how to be safe inasmuch as one can be (meet people for the first time in a busy place, tell someone where you're going, all that stuff) and it's no different from meeting people in a club, except that i'm sober. I'm well aware that there are potential rapists on the net, but there are in all walks of life, so I don't see meeting people via the net as a particular problem.

It is for me. I enjoy sex and I don't really need emotional involvement, in fact I usually prefer without. There are exceptions...but generally that's how I like my life to be.

And I know that the net is a good place to pretend to be someone else...but when you meet someone in person, you'll usually see thru any disguise (physically or personality-wise) that they might have been donning!

Now the current Mrs Ballbag and I are very happy indeed, and I am simply talking hypothetically here (so back off ladies), but if I were to dabble in the old "casual relations" with a lady I'd have to be very careful indeed. Communicating just via text is a dangerous game, what if you swapped pics, exchanged stories, chatted for ages and ages, earnt each other's trust, arranged a meet, actually turn up for the meet and discover………… she's got a Brummie accent. You'd be out of there like a bullet from a gun.

but to address the point seriously, I do realise that there's an inherent danger. But once you go back to someone's place, or indeed take them back to yours if you live alone (altho i don't), you're in that situation, no matter how you met the person. It's a risk everyone who has sex with others has to take at some point.

No he was a normal lad we went from the pub to the cinema with out my parent's supervision and he was a normal nice person. Not everyone on the internet are freaks only a small percentage.
