Its been a while since I brought the mood down so heres a list of dull tasks:

1. Putting duvet covers on.
2. Tieing Shoelaces.
3. shutting the curtains / blinds
4. setting the alarm clock for a different time at the weekend.
5. switching the kettle on.
6. peeling an orange
7. making lists
8. being nice to people you dont like at work.
9. putting a belt on a pair of trousers.
10. opening junk mail.

I have a variation on 8.

Being nice to customers I have no reason to like at work, especially those who are abusive just because I dare to do my job and ask for an account reference instead of a postcode.

I peeled an orange today, hard as ever, always reminds me of the time Victor Meldrew was happy that he had some spare time in the afternoon.

I HATE putting duvet covers on. I am 32 and just cannot do it. I usually persuade my flatmate to do mine for me in return for making a cup of tea afterwards.

I don't tie and untie my trainer laces - I just have them threaded and knotted underneath so I can slip them on and off.

None of the other things on Gaspode's list particularly irk me. I actually quite enjoy making lists. It's the capricorn in me.

The worst thing about putting duvet covers is you always forget then go to bed and see it... so depressing.

VERY true. This happens to me every time I wash the covers. In fact, I tend to forget that I have washed them and they haven't been dried. Thats never a nice thing to realise at 2330.

Phone and email Tech Support. To provide support it's company policy to ask for the account ref (and it even says it in the pre-rec bit before someone gets through) to make sure they're one of our real customers and don't have illegal copies etc

Mothers arn't all good at mopping. I'm crap at any sort of cleaning and usually leave it for someone else to do when it starts to become a health hazard. There's better things to be doing.

Motherhood certainly didn't improve my ability to do housework of any sort, especially cleaning I'm sorry to say. But hey, thats what cleaning ladies are for! I wish I had one.....

Thats what men are for, i've discovered. They get so horrified by my dereliction of duties that they take on the task themselves. I do provide wine and food though, so it balances out i suppose. Cleaning ladies just get in the way.

Ironing seems pointless in this day and age. Clothes just don't seem to crease very much anymore. Either that or i just don't notice.

I hoovered for the first time in a while the other day. I managed to knock a glass vase on an ashtray and break it. Glass everywhere. I had to hoover again. I deceided to leave the stairs for someone else.
